Veselí nad Moravou and its sourroundings is intertwined by countless water streams and routes. The most imposrtant is undoubtedly the Bata Canal.

Bata Canal is an unique technical monument from the 1930s, which was again put into operation in the 1990s for touristic purposes. Nowadays the Bata Canal offers recreational cruises on the waterway between Otrokovice and Skalica (in Slovakia). There are also two more sections, which are separated from the rest of the canal for now: Kroměříž - Otrokovice, Rohatec - Hodonín. You can cruise on your own ship, rent a boat or buy a ticket to one of the periodical cruises. During your cruising you can use the services of several marinas along the canal. The largest marina is in Veselí nad Moravou. It offers various services - rental service, repair shop, periodical cruises to Strážnice, refreshment and accommodation. Apart from that, one can also enjoy an outdoor rope course, a climbing wall, skate park and children’s playground. During summer season the marina in Veselí nad moravou offers periodical cruises to Strážnice (cruise ship Danaj). In Strážnice is also a quit large marina. The marina in Strážnice also offers periodical cruises (cruise ship Amos) - cruises to the crossing of the Canal with Morava river near Vnorovy and then to Petrov. In Vnorovy there is also a small marina offering refreshment and boat rental.

Outside the Veselsko region is also possible to cruise the canal either on rented ship or on the board of a cruise ship. The other marinas offering rental and other services are: marina in Skalica (Slovakia), Výklopník near Sudoměřice, marina in Petrov, Uherský Ostroh, Kostelany nad Moravou, Staré město, Uherské Hradiště, Babice, Spytihněv, Napajedla and Otrokovice. Cruising is possible in the summer season from May till September.
