Strážnice

The Průžka Mill was built in the 16th century and it is one of the oldest buildings in Strážnice.

Originally a water mill from the 16th century underwent in the 19th century a massive reconstruction and it was converted to steam mill and later to electric mill. It is equipped with complete mill device from the 1920s.

Today the mill accommodates an exhibition of milling and woodcarving. The woodcarving exhibition was first open to public in 2013 thanks to the woodcarvers from the Gauč, o.s. association. In the exhibition are presented works of fifteen woodcarvers of the Moravian Slovakia – both amateurs and professionals.
