Strážnice is an old town with approx. 6.000 inhabitants. First mentions about this town can be traced to 1086.

Noticeable white tower in the town centre - formerly one of the two towers of the St. Martin Church - was built in the 15th century in gothic style. 

On the top of the hill called Travičná is located a 53 meters high telecommunication tower.

Lučina is a man-made water reservoir built in the valley of the Radějovka stream and it serves mainly for recreational purposes.

The museum is located in a house from the end of the 19th century. The house is listed in the list of immovable monuments as a birthplace of Marie Kudeříková
