The Strážnice Castle is the jewel of the whole town. It is surrounded by a beautiful park and inside you can find several permanent exhibitions and a Castle gallery.
The castle is a seat of the Institute of Folk Culture, which takes care of the gallery and permanent exhibitions. In the castle the visitors can see the permanent exposition called „Folk music instruments in the Czech Republic“ – the only in the Central Europe – as well as yearly alternating exhibitions at the Castle gallery. The Rose, Green and Yellow Parlors serve for representative purposes as well as for the concerts, especially of classical music.
The castle also accommodates valuable historical library with more than 13 000 books.
